Garden City Beach
Garden City Beach, South Carolina is another very favorite beach of ours.
It's just south of the tourist haven of Myrtle Beach. There is something indescribably magic about the place that we can't really
articulate. It's great to stay on the beach as the sand is nice and crowds are
thin, at least during the off season in September.
There are many good seafood restaurants as well as Asian and Mexican restaurants to satisfy ethnic food lovers. Antique shops appear all around as well as clothing stores and shops selling hammocks. Of course, there is no shortage of the typical beach cheesy souvenir shops where you can get ceramic figurines, T-shirts and probably license plates. There is a very long and graceful wooden pier or boardwalk where people are fishing and you might see a shark or two reeled up from the ocean. Garden City Beach is a great place to relax and just forget about problems.
